Corporate Legal Counsel (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the UK

Salary: £65,000–£95,000 GBP annually, depending on experience

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, customer proposals, NDAs, and vendor agreements for UK and US-based sales teams.
• Provide practical legal and commercial contract advice to colleagues across the organization.
• Support data protection requests and manage data compliance matters.
• Advise on contracting models, product design, compliance, corporate governance, and other legal issues.
• Maintain and develop template agreements, contract review guidebooks, and other legal resources.
• Identify and implement improvements to legal processes and team efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house.
• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales with a current practising certificate.
• Experience or willingness to work on corporate and commercial matters in both the UK and US.
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and operate independently.
• Creative, strategic, decisive, and comfortable navigating unfamiliar matters in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• In-house experience at a fast-growing technology company or experience advising fintech clients.
• Interest in payment technologies and SaaS contracting models.
• Payment industry or account-to-account payment experience.
• Privacy expertise, including GDPR familiarity; CIPP/E or CIPP/M certification.
