UAE EHS Lead (Energy): Leading country-wide environmental, health, and safety governance for Siemens Energy’s UAE operations with an accent on regulatory compliance, risk management, emergency preparedness, and incident learning. What you will do
- Support the Country Managing Director, business areas, global functions, permanent establishments, and affiliated companies with country-level EHS governance.
- Lead EHS compliance, risk management, emergency preparedness, incident management, reporting, and continuous improvement across UAE operations.
- Champion the Zero Harm Framework and Human and Organizational Performance initiatives across factories, project sites, and offices.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, technical services, customers, regulatory authorities, contractors, and service providers.
- Guide risk assessments, training programs, audits, corrective actions, lessons learned, and EHS communications.
- Improve EHS performance through lean management, simplification, digitalization, and innovation.
Requirements
- Knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE occupational health and safety requirements, Abu Dhabi OSHAD-SF, and other relevant local regulations.
- Recognized EHS qualification, such as a NEBOSH Diploma, equivalent advanced EHS diploma, or accredited professional certification.
- At least 8 years of hands-on EHS experience, including hazard identification, risk assessment, control measures, and process monitoring.
- Experience developing and maintaining Emergency Response Plans, conducting drills, and managing incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Understanding of Human and Organizational Performance principles and the ability to lead, coach, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 audit requirements and the full audit lifecycle.
- Background in energy, utilities, transmission, generation, or power plant environments.
