Senior Control and Protection Engineer (Generators)

What you will do

• Install, service, modify, and troubleshoot generator control and protection systems according to OEM standards and quality requirements.
• Install, maintain, and modify systems for generators and other rotating machinery at customer sites.
• Lead and supervise technical teams during field service activities.
• Interpret P&IDs and control schematics and perform root cause analysis for complex technical issues.
• Communicate project progress, prepare technical reports, recommend spare parts, and coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Follow EHS and zero-harm standards while supporting day, night, weekend, and holiday operations as required.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in generator overhaul, installation, and related equipment supervision.
• High School/GED diploma or an engineering degree.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and portal-based systems for time reporting, expenses, and service documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage challenging customer discussions.
• Commercial awareness to understand contract scope, identify out-of-scope work, and support additional customer funding opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 80% domestically and internationally, with a valid driver's license.

• Siemens or Dresser-Rand product training.
