FinOps Manager (Finance)

What you will do

• Own day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, company cards, supplier onboarding, invoicing, payment runs, and reconciliations.
• Own the monthly close and prepare management accounts covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, runway, budget-versus-actual performance, cost centres, and financial KPIs.
• Maintain budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor departmental and supplier spend, investigate variances, and support cash-flow forecasting and runway management.
• Coordinate year-end accounting, corporation tax, VAT, payroll, pension compliance, insurance renewals, and requests from external accountants, auditors, and advisers.
• Coordinate UK and US option valuation processes, maintain equity records, and administer the cap-table platform with People, Legal, and external advisers.
• Own finance systems and workflows, leading system onboarding or migration and implementing practical automation, controls, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Approximately 4–7 years of experience in management accounting, finance operations, or a broad finance role.
• Demonstrable experience owning a monthly close process and preparing management accounts.
• Part-qualified, finalist, or qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred; strong qualified-by-experience candidates are also considered.
• Experience coordinating external accountants, tax advisers, payroll providers, legal advisers, or other specialists.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including reconciliations, management reporting, and financial models; experience with Xero or a similar accounting system.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, follow up with senior stakeholders, challenge incomplete requests, and create structure in developing processes.

• Experience with spend-management, expense, CRM, or cap-table platforms.
• Exposure to UK and US entities, cross-border transactions, equity administration, or transfer pricing.
