Head of Finance

Location: Sydney or Auckland; hybrid, office-first with day-to-day flexibility between working from home and in the office

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Finance function and team across the global group.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, consolidation, month-end close, accounting policies, controls and audit readiness.
• Drive budgeting, reforecasting, cash flow forecasting and long-term financial modelling.
• Oversee liquidity, banking, treasury, AP, AR, working capital, billing, revenue recognition and deferred revenue.
• Manage tax, statutory compliance, transfer pricing, intercompany arrangements and cross-border cash flows across New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK.
• Build scalable Finance systems and automation while partnering with leadership, the Board, investors and future fundraising activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant Finance experience, including experience at Financial Controller, Head of Finance or a similar senior level.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, financial control, audit, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial modelling experience.
• Experience leading and developing Finance teams in a high-growth SaaS, technology or recurring-revenue business.
• Understanding of SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, NRR, gross margin, CAC, LTV and burn.
• Experience managing multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction reporting and compliance, with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder communication skills.

• Experience preparing a business for its first audit.
• Experience supporting fundraising, investor due diligence or corporate transactions.
• Experience implementing Finance systems and working across New Zealand, Australia, the US or the UK.
