Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Salary: CAD 20.37–35.65 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

hirify.global, through BIOVECTRA, develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and biopharmaceutical products for clinical-to-commercial production.

What you will do

• Operate manual, electronic, pneumatic, and computerized fermentation and purification equipment in process development laboratories.
• Collect, label, and test experimental samples according to work instructions and SOPs.
• Monitor experiments, identify issues, and support troubleshooting with scientists and manufacturing colleagues.
• Review work instructions, assist with SOP writing and data entry, and maintain accurate reagent and instrument labeling.
• Clean, organize, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and support 5S and inventory activities.
• Assist with GMP cell banking and pilot plant operations when required.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
• Ability to use a respirator.
• Technical proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and techniques.
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Experience with aseptic handling, sampling, and material analysis.
• Knowledge of biochemical assays and purification procedures.
• Industry experience in fermentation and protein purification.
