Advanced Lab Assistant (Biotech)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Operate autoclaves, labware washers, and other equipment to clean, sterilize, and prepare laboratory glassware and supplies.
• Harvest and concentrate conditioned cell culture media for protein and antibody production, including cGMP production activities.
• Prepare solutions, buffers, media, and plates, and handle production materials and biohazardous waste according to safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain chlorine dioxide gas sterilization equipment and assist with equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, inventory, work areas, SOPs, and related department records.
• Work independently and collaboratively, prioritize assignments, and assist with training new staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience, or an associate degree with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of general laboratory equipment and centrifuges, plus laboratory safety procedures.
• Ability to plan, organize, multitask, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
• Professional oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while handling sensitive information confidentially.
• Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
