Software Engineer, Janus Team, DDX (Backend)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work from the Prague office is required

What you will do

• Design and build a declarative, intent-based policy engine covering policy modeling, evaluation, violation detection, and auditable state consistency.
• Develop resilient distributed control systems for cloud-managed and disconnected customer-operated deployments.
• Build scalable processing for large volumes of fleet telemetry.
• Add signal sources, detection capabilities, and integrations with FlashArray, FlashBlade, Fusion, and Pure1.
• Own features from technical design and implementation through test automation, deployment, monitoring, and production iteration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and architecture teams to shape technical direction and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Experience building reliable backend or distributed systems at scale.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, performance, fault tolerance, data modeling, state consistency, edge cases, and partial system failures.
• Proficiency in Go or Java and openness to working across Go, Java, and Python.
• Experience taking software from early concepts and product definition through launch and ongoing production support.
• End-to-end ownership of complex features, with strong problem-solving and debugging skills across services, APIs, and deployments.
• Effective collaboration and communication with engineering, product management, and architecture teams.
