Facility Shift Manager (Data Center)

Location: Slough, England, United Kingdom; onsite 24/7 shift pattern

What you will do

• Monitor engineering assets and ensure systems are appropriately monitored for timely attendance by the 24/7 team.
• Escalate and communicate incidents, complete shift-end reports, and maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Coordinate service providers and contractors to ensure planned and unplanned works comply with statutory regulations, site policies, client rules, and procedures.
• Support root cause analysis, project and planned-maintenance planning, incident management, PPM workflows, and attendance planning.
• Oversee shift engineers’ work and promote strong health and safety practices, including PTW, isolation systems, and RAMS.
• Support the Critical Service Manager with improvement suggestions, technical discussions, audits, and service-delivery objectives.

Requirements

• Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, including UPS, generators, and power distribution.
• HV switching experience with a current HV training certificate.
• Qualified electrical or mechanical engineer meeting current standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a critical environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to perform audits across ISO 9000, 14000, 27000, and 55000 systems.
