What you will do
- Own the engineering strategy for subscription and video library management within the Prime Video Access team.
- Define the team's long-term technical vision and manage its day-to-day roadmap.
- Lead the development of services supporting entitlement, ownership, and playability decisions across Prime Video.
- Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports while building an inclusive team culture.
- Partner with product, engineering, business, and Prime Video Catalog teams to align priorities and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Review operational metrics and participate in sprint ceremonies, stakeholder meetings, and long-term planning.
Requirements
- Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
- Experience managing engineering teams and working directly within engineering organizations.
- Experience defining and developing multi-tier web services.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with attention to design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
Nice to have
- Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing Software Engineers.
