Location: Latvia with a hybrid setup and Riga office, or fully remote for UK-based colleagues
Gross salary from €5,000 per month in Latvia or £60,000 per annum in the UK, plus company share options, a paid phone plan, and health insurance.

Edurio develops survey software that helps schools and school groups improve education quality by collecting feedback from parents, pupils, and staff. The company works with more than 2,000 schools in the United Kingdom and Latvia and is developing a second product, Edurio Hub.
What you will do
- Lead a development team of four developers and one QA engineer, including performance, growth, workload, wellbeing, retention, and future hiring.
- Act as a player-coach by actively contributing code while leading development work.
- Own team commitments, release planning, estimation practices, and adjustments when plans change.
- Run standups, planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ensure development standards are followed and identify gaps between standards and current practice.
- Coordinate product and development work from kick-off through release and explain technical risks, incidents, security requirements, and trade-offs to non-technical colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams that use coding agents, with advanced practical use of AI and coding agents.
- Experience with people leadership, accountability, wellbeing, growth planning, and performance conversations.
- Sufficient engineering seniority to coordinate team delivery, without needing to be the most experienced engineer on the team.
- Experience establishing and teaching a development process rather than only operating an inherited process.
- Ability to explain delivery, risk, and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript, Vue, or AWS serverless technologies.
- Experience with a platform migration running alongside feature development.
- Experience or interest in the EdTech sector.
