RCM Engineer

What you will do

• Establish the total reliability program framework and methodology for refinery assets throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Lead asset criticality assessments, facilitate assessment workshops, compile findings, and prepare data for SAP upload.
• Implement reliability methodologies and asset lifecycle procedures, including SAP taxonomy, operating limits, maintenance development, master data, BOMs, and SAP PMs.
• Lead reliability reviews and technical matters while coordinating with project execution, plant-wide, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct integrity, performance, and asset improvement studies; identify chronic failure prevention methods and support reliability KPI reviews.
• Lead the reliability section, report to the Project Manager, and deliver periodic project progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, including site reliability work and strong refinery process knowledge.
• Training and practical capability in root cause failure analysis, such as Apollo Root Cause Analysis or a similar methodology, with the ability to facilitate RCA and ACA processes.
• Experience with asset lifecycle management, SAP reliability and maintenance data, predictive maintenance, asset availability improvement, and plant reliability KPIs.
• Understanding of static and rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, failure modes, and potential corrective solutions.
• Proficient verbal and written English, with leadership, communication, data analysis, reporting, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
• Experience with operations, maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
