Maintenance Engineer

Location: Prai, Penang, Malaysia; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Plan and schedule predictive, preventive, corrective, and major maintenance activities across operating sites in North Malaysia.
• Coordinate turnarounds by organizing maintenance resources, leading meetings, preparing schedules, and reporting progress and outcomes.
• Manage reliability improvement activities using FMEA, RCM, ARCA, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain mechanical integrity programs, equipment history records, fault reports, PPE inventories, and maintenance documentation.
• Support EH&S activities, audits, continuous improvement, productivity initiatives, and safe task execution.
• Update ISO documentation and support eMOC processes for maintenance-related changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
• Experience leading maintenance planning, shutdowns or turnarounds, reliability programs, and maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of industrial gas or chemical processing plants is preferred.
• Ability to support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, corporate EHS, and customer audit requirements.
