HYCO Supervisor

What you will do

• Manage and supervise Boardman, Lead Operators, and Field Operators across two HYCO Steam Methane Reformer units, an off-gas PSA facility, and a hydrogen import pipeline facility.
• Lead daily shift operations, customer production meetings, production target achievement, and efficient plant operation.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams on troubleshooting, repairs, testing, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
• Implement safety work permits, LOTO, confined-space procedures, environmental controls, and other operational safety practices.
• Support shutdown and turnaround planning, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
• Train, coach, and develop operations personnel while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and refinery customer counterparts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical process operations preferred; an associate technical degree may be considered based on experience and competence.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in gas, petrochemical, operations, engineering, or maintenance environments, including 4 or more years supervising process operations.
• Experience coordinating operations, engineering, and maintenance teams in a multi-team environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of operations, engineering, and maintenance, with HYCO knowledge considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of local environmental, health, and safety requirements, plus strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
