(USA) Truck Shop Refrigeration Technician - Pottsville, PA (1st Shift)

Location: Onsite at 390 Highridge Park Rd, Pottsville, PA 17901-8100, United States; 1st shift.

Hourly pay: $37.30–$40.80, with potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on transport refrigeration units according to OEM procedures.
• Diagnose and repair TRU electrical and refrigeration systems using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, diagnostic tools, and refrigerant-service equipment.
• Maintain and repair trailers, tractor climate-control systems, communication systems, and shop equipment.
• Service tractor-trailer braking systems, install and repair tires, balance wheels, and perform electronic axle alignments.
• Receive fuel deliveries, conduct fuel sampling, monitor tank levels, and complete required documentation.
• Identify warranty repairs, process claims, complete work orders, and assist other technicians with maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualification under FMCSA Section 396.25 and vehicle inspection qualification under Section 396.19.
• Ability to perform repairs in accordance with company and Department of Transportation guidelines.

Nice to have

• Class A Commercial Driver's License and DOT driver's certification.
• Thermo King Master Tech, Carrier Master Tech, or equivalent certification.
• ASE Certification.
• Experience maintaining tractors and trailers and using computer applications.
