Casualty Field Loss Adjuster - Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Location: Fully remote, field-based covering the South East, particularly the M1 corridor, Milton Keynes, M25 and Watford; travel in this area is necessary.

What you will do

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, and brokers to progress allocated claims.
• Investigate casualty claims in the field or from the desk and compile the required evidence and documentation.
• Prepare preliminary reports covering available evidence, policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
• Determine appropriate actions for case resolution and defend or negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits.
• Correspond professionally with all parties and manage cases in line with client requirements and documented procedures.
• Review and maintain appropriate reserves, keep current with technical changes, and participate in company training.

Requirements

• Previous Loss Adjuster experience.
• Experience investigating and handling Casualty Claims.
• Knowledge of insurance and the insurance market.
• Knowledge of legal principles, regulations, Acts, Civil Procedure Rules, and the Claims Portal.
• Good communication skills at all levels and excellent customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a team, plan and organise effectively, and take responsibility for your own workload.
• Adaptability and flexibility.
• Strong IT skills.
• A full driver's licence is essential.
