Casualty Field Loss Adjuster - Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Location: Fully remote, field-based across the South East, particularly the M1 corridor, Milton Keynes, M25 and Watford; regular travel in this area is necessary.

What you will do

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, and brokers.
• Investigate allocated casualty claims in the field or from the desk.
• Gather evidence and prepare preliminary reports covering policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
• Determine appropriate actions, defend or negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits, and progress cases to conclusion.
• Maintain accurate reserves through regular review and follow client procedures and documented requirements.
• Keep current with technical changes and participate in company training programmes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a loss adjuster.
• Experience investigating and handling casualty claims.
• Knowledge of insurance, the insurance market, legal principles, regulations, Civil Procedure Rules, and the Claims Portal.
• Strong communication, customer service, planning, organisational, adaptability, and workload-management skills.
• Strong IT skills.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel across the South East are essential.
