Team Manager - London Markets Insurance

Location: Remote, UK based; must reside in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

Velonetic operates joint ventures between hirify.global, the International Underwriting Association, and Lloyd’s of London, providing insurance and reinsurance transaction processing services and developing a digital platform for premium and claims transactions.

What you will do

• Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve claims-related queries and issues.
• Lead and support multiple claims teams within agreed handling authorities.
• Coach team members and support the resolution of operational and customer issues.
• Prepare volume forecasts, capacity plans, and resource allocations using historical data and current operational conditions.
• Monitor in-day performance, maintain accurate activity records, and re-plan or reprioritise resources when required.
• Manage absence consistently in accordance with the Absence Policy and collaborate with colleagues to resolve capacity issues.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in operational leadership, including managing teams, service delivery, workload, capacity, and performance.
• Proven practical experience and strong knowledge of the London Market insurance and/or reinsurance environment.
• Strong numeracy, verbal, and literacy skills.
• Computer literacy and working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, personal, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service, negotiating, influencing, and customer satisfaction skills.
• Positive attitude and natural curiosity to identify improvements.
