Technical Business Analyst (Insurance): Bridging business and technology teams by gathering, modelling, and documenting technical requirements for business change with an accent on system architecture, data flows, integrations, and Agile delivery. Focus on analysing processes with SQL and Excel, shaping API and automation solutions, and translating business needs into maintainable technical implementations.
Location: Liverpool City Centre, UK, on a hybrid working basis
Salary: up to £48,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do
- Deliver business analysis activities across business delivery processes and Agile projects.
- Gather “As-Is” requirements and model “To-Be” processes with a technical focus.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation covering system architecture, data flows, integration points, configuration, and custom development.
- Analyse technical requirements and collaborate with development teams to shape effective solutions.
- Review processes and use SQL, Excel, and other tools to support data-driven business decisions.
- Identify opportunities involving system integrations, APIs, and automation while working independently on technical projects.
Requirements
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or in a similar technical analysis role.
- Understanding of technology landscapes and technical documentation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and guide solution decisions.
- Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Agile or Scrum certification, such as Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner.
- Experience using SQL, Excel, or similar analysis and decision-making tools.
