Principal Business Analyst

Location: Must have the right to work and live in the UK and live within commuting distance of the London office. Minimum 3 days per week in person; remaining time may be worked from home or remotely.

What you will do

• Scope and lead the largest, most complex, and strategically significant cross-domain analysis initiatives.
• Coordinate Business Analysts through design and implementation, maintaining coherent requirements across domain boundaries.
• Lead requirements elicitation, facilitation, feasibility analysis, and options analysis for ambiguous or senior-stakeholder initiatives.
• Build business architecture through capability, process, organisation, systems, and data-flow models.
• Support Business Decision Records, architecture alignment, cross-domain UAT planning, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Define BA standards and governance, review analytical outputs, run the community of practice, and coach Business Analysts without direct line-management authority.

Requirements

• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
• Substantial business analysis experience in complex, multi-domain organisations.
• Experience leading large or cross-domain analysis initiatives end-to-end and coordinating multiple Business Analysts.
• Experience setting BA standards and methodology in a federated or distributed delivery environment.
• Experience working with enterprise or business architects on capability-driven analysis, architecture artefacts, and architectural decisions.
• Strong senior stakeholder engagement, coaching, and experience working across multiple locations and time zones.

Nice to have

• Business analysis certification such as BCS/ISEB or IIBA CBAP.
• Experience in publishing, content, or platform businesses.
