Advanced Engineer, Embedded Software (Automotive)

Location: Bangalore, India; full-time remote work globally is allowed for positions that can be performed outside a hirify.global or customer location

What you will do

• Research and build software for telematics devices supporting communication, networking, and positioning.
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable automotive-grade Linux applications in C and C++ for embedded platforms.
• Translate business requirements into agile stories and tasks for planning and execution.
• Enable platforms for telematics proof-of-concepts and product demonstrations.
• Design, develop, build, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products.
• Grow technical expertise across telematics domains and support bringing solutions to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 5–8 years of overall software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Linux on embedded platforms and reusable, scalable C/C++ code.
• Proficiency with STL containers and algorithms, Linux IPC mechanisms, sockets, message queues, shared memory, and multithreaded applications.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, Perforce, and GTest-based C++ unit testing.
• Knowledge of OpenEmbedded and BitBake, plus strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
