Senior Embedded Software Engineer (AUTOSAR)

Location: Pontiac, Michigan, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and test low-level embedded software for automotive systems.
• Work with RTOS, memory, fault detection, power management, LIN, DMA, PWM, discrete I/O, and analog I/O.
• Configure MCAL using dedicated tools and hand-code embedded software.
• Design and execute tests against component technical requirements.
• Perform independent reviews of software written by other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and testing AUTOSAR Microcontroller and ECU Abstraction Layers and Complex Drivers.
• Experience with RTOS for multicore microcontrollers and ARM, PowerPC, and Renesas microcontrollers.
• Ability to read schematics and understand basic electrical circuits.
• Experience performing root cause analysis across Integrated Basic Software and Application Software on multicore microcontrollers.
• Experience with embedded compilers, linkers, debugging tools, Lauterbach, ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, and general laboratory equipment.
