What you will do
- Provide strategic indirect tax advice to departments and company entities on contracts and transactions.
- Design and update the indirect tax matrix based on legal and fiscal developments in Nigeria.
- Review tax clauses in contracts and coordinate with Legal, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, and technical personnel.
- Coordinate external tax audits and liaise with Nigerian regulatory and tax authorities.
- Supervise VAT and WHT return preparation and filing, tax payments, remittances, and revenue receipt records.
- Support tax clearance certificate applications and respond to tax return and audit queries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, classified as Level 6.
- At least 6 years of post-graduation experience in tax and accounting functions.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state tax laws, tax treaties, and multilateral tax agreements.
- Sound technical knowledge and interpretation of Nigerian tax laws.
- Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA.
- English proficiency at C2 level, with strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
