General Manager, Memphis Market (Manufacturing & Logistics)

Location: Memphis, TN, United States. Onsite; remote candidates will not be considered, and daily office presence is required. The role includes visiting local businesses each week for less than 25% of working time.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day business operations in the Memphis district and oversee P&L performance.
• Drive revenue growth, business development, market-entry initiatives, and supporting marketing activities.
• Develop target lists, cultivate strategic accounts and partnerships, and maintain regular business communications.
• Manage the local team, including recruiting, hiring, coaching, capacity planning, and capability development.
• Manage CRM processes and identify scalable ways to recruit business users.
• Resolve operational issues, collaborate with other market leaders, and provide product-market-fit feedback to product management and technology development.

Requirements

• Direct experience working in or advising logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries.
• Leadership experience with teams, cross-functional projects, or organizations.
• Track record of selecting, hiring, coaching, and developing team capability.
• At least 5 years of post-university workforce experience; 8 years is ideal.
• Demonstrated results in outperforming or exceeding goals, with strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in the office every day and visit local businesses in the Memphis market.
