Senior Software Engineer (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: Onsite in Amphoe Si Maha Phot, Prachin Buri, Thailand; secondary location in BangPa-In, Thailand

What you will do

• Develop automated manufacturing systems, process visualization and control tools, robotics solutions, and tester/operator collaboration tools.
• Provide technical support for test-related activities focused on productivity, quality, and cost improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US, Japan, and Asia on automation and analytics infrastructure.
• Manage software development lifecycle activities, including releases and process-instruction changes.
• Analyze, design, develop, and integrate system modifications to improve performance and reconcile the needs of multiple teams.
• Research technology options, resolve complex business issues, verify solutions, and train other software analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a software analyst or in a related function.
• Good command of English and strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good knowledge of Golang, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with technical projects, plus knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting.
• People management, coaching, strategic planning, project management, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience in HDD manufacturing or the electronics industry.
• Knowledge of HDD processes and technology, manufacturing automation, and robotic systems.
• Knowledge of data analytics, ETL, data structures, and machine learning.
