Engineering Manager (Production Scheduling)

Location: Fully remote-friendly, but candidates must be based in Finland or Sweden; Portugal may possibly be acceptable. A valid work permit for the relevant country is required.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a software development team of five engineers.
• Stay hands-on enough to understand the product's technical architecture and direction without coding day to day.
• Collaborate with the team to define high engineering standards and effective ways of working.
• Facilitate discussions and bring out the best in a technically strong, opinionated team without being overly directive.
• Support the development of production scheduling technology as a dedicated application.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading a software development team.
• Software development background with an understanding of architecture and technical trade-offs.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with manufacturing operations and the practical use of planning tools.
• Comfort using AI in everyday work and developing AI tools as part of organizational strategy.
• Fluent written and spoken English; valid work authorization is required for the relevant country.

Nice to have

• Experience working with an international team.
• Experience with production scheduling, including Preactor, OMP, Kinaxis, or similar advanced planning and scheduling tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
