What you will do

• Mentor and coach a team of engineers on both technical craft and career growth through weekly 1:1s.
• Review code, design documents, and CI/CD changes to maintain high standards of quality and observability.
• Drive architectural and technical roadmap decisions that improve business outcomes and delivery speed.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to align technical work with revenue and customer experience goals.
• Back up the team by pairing on complex problems, debugging production issues, and writing code.
• Manage engineering capacity and planning against quarterly OKRs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping products in production.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience in a startup or distributed environment.
• Experience managing teams of 8 to 10 direct reports.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to read, review, and write code in the team's stack.
• Experience with CI/CD, risk-based testing, and observability.

• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools as a force multiplier.
