Lead Test Platform Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Workplace: On-site.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end Test Platform environment supporting spacecraft integration, verification, validation, and manufacturing.
• Architect, develop, integrate, commission, deploy, operate, and continuously improve Test Stations, Test Benches, SIL/HIL environments, and associated EGSE/SCOE.
• Build reusable, configurable, reliable, maintainable, and scalable platforms instead of program-specific one-off setups.
• Integr hardware, software, instrumentation, embedded devices, communication interfaces, Linux infrastructure, networking, and test automation.
• Lead architecture and design reviews, root-cause investigations, and troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking, instrumentation, and system interfaces.
• Provide technical direction across Systems Engineering, AIT, Software, Avionics, Electrical, RF/Payload, Infrastructure, Industrial Operations, and Program teams.

Requirements

• Significant experience owning complex Test Stations, SIL/HIL platforms, integration environments, or similar multidisciplinary test systems.
• Experience taking Test Platforms from requirements and architecture through build, integration, commissioning, deployment, and operational support.
• Strong hands-on hardware, software, and system integration experience.
• Practical expertise with Linux environments, networking, compute infrastructure, system troubleshooting, Python, and scripting.
• Experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, containers, configuration management, and automated deployment.
• Technical leadership experience across multidisciplinary engineering teams, with strong systems-level thinking and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in spacecraft, satellite, aerospace, or similarly complex hardware development environments.
• Experience supporting AIT, spacecraft integration, verification, or manufacturing campaigns.
• Exposure to Electrical or RF EGSE/SCOE, spacecraft electrical and RF interfaces, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
• Experience with embedded hardware, automated test execution, monitoring, diagnostics, validation, platform observability, backup and recovery, calibration, or lifecycle management.
• Experience standardizing Test Platforms across programs, developing reusable architectures, mentoring engineers, and building technical capability.
