Staff Engineer, Integration Advance Manufacturing (Aerospace Manufacturing) (aerospace manufacturing and systems integration): Leading final system integration and production-readiness activities for complex aerospace and defense platforms with an accent on electrical, mechanical, propulsion, and mission-system integration. Focus on developing final assembly processes, driving DFM/DFA reviews, resolving integration issues, and transitioning products into manufacturing.

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$230,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for full-time regular employees.

What you will do

  • Lead manufacturing integration across electrical, mechanical, propulsion, vehicle, and mission systems.
  • Develop final assembly, integration sequencing, production-flow, and process-control methods.
  • Partner with design engineering on manufacturability, reliability, testability, producibility, and DFM/DFA reviews.
  • Investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, and support failure analysis and reliability improvements.
  • Create work instructions, quality standards, inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and manufacturing standards.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, supply chain, and test engineering teams while mentoring junior manufacturing engineers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering or systems integration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with prototype manufacturing in a startup or rapid-growth environment.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical integration, production operations, manufacturing process development, and DFM/DFA principles.
  • Knowledge of production scaling, root cause analysis, and corrective-action methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace or defense integration experience, including autonomous systems, UAVs, or advanced mobility platforms.
  • Experience with LRIP, factory integration, manufacturing-line design, or production scaling.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards and proficiency in CAD software.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
