Business Development Associate (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in the Detroit office every day; office located in Troy, Michigan. The role also includes visiting local businesses across the metro area each week for less than 25% of the time. Remote candidates will not be considered.

What you will do

• Build and cultivate strategic accounts and partnerships with manufacturing, operations, and warehouse leaders through site visits and consultations.
• Present hirify.global’s platform and communicate its value to decision-makers and operational leaders.
• Create onboarding roadmaps and success benchmarks for new clients.
• Research target accounts, build brand awareness, and manage client relationships through calls, email campaigns, social media, and LinkedIn.
• Manage HubSpot CRM and use tools such as ZoomInfo and Zoom to generate interest and support the business development process.
• Conduct market research, maintain operational metrics, collaborate with regional teams, and grow the Detroit market footprint.

Requirements

• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex problems in direct and plain language.
• Self-starter attitude, coachability, willingness to learn, and demonstrated mastery of a discipline such as sport or music.
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to break down complex problems using data.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Work experience through employment, part-time work, an internship, or similar experience.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Experience working across operations, finance, supply chain, or engineering teams.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training or certification.
• Studies or early-career experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations project management.
