Business Development Associate (Manufacturing and Logistics)

Location: Troy, Michigan, in the Detroit office; onsite every day with visits to local businesses across the metroplex each week, less than 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Conduct site visits and consultations with manufacturing, operations, warehouse, and production leaders to build strategic accounts and partnerships.
• Present hirify.global’s platform and communicate its value to potential clients.
• Create onboarding roadmaps and success benchmarks for new clients.
• Research target accounts, build brand awareness, and manage client relationships through cold calls, email campaigns, and social media.
• Manage HubSpot CRM and use LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and Zoom to support business development.
• Conduct market research, maintain business development metrics, and collaborate with regional teams to grow the local market.

• Self-starter with an industrious mindset and demonstrated mastery of something such as sport or music.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to tell stories and communicate complex value in direct, plain language.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to break complex problems down using data.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work cross-functionally to drive growth.
• Experience in the workforce, including part-time work while studying or an internship.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the Detroit office every day and visit local businesses across the metroplex each week, with visits taking less than 25% of working time.
• Must not have worked at or studied the processes of a FAANGS or other Silicon Valley-based company.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Experience working with diverse functional teams, including operations and finance or supply chain and engineering.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training or certification.
• Foundational experience in food service or retail operations; studies in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or industrial engineering; or early-career experience in engineering, process improvement, supply chain and operations, or operations project management.
