What you will do

• Lead the editorial direction and daily production of CNBC's flagship morning business newsletter.
• Explain the stories, trends, market developments, earnings, economic reports, geopolitical events, policy decisions, and corporate news shaping the business day.
• Connect overnight developments from Asia, Europe, and the United States into a clear narrative for executives, investors, and business leaders.
• Preview key CNBC interviews, reporting, analysis, and programming across television, digital, video, and social platforms.
• Develop original reporting through relationships with executives, investors, economists, analysts, and policymakers.
• Use newsletter analytics and audience data to improve engagement, subscriber growth, and reader retention.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience covering business, financial markets, economics, or public policy for a major news organization.
• Strong understanding of global business, financial markets, macroeconomics, global markets, corporate news, central banks, geopolitics, and economic policy.
• Experience writing newsletters or other recurring editorial products that build audience engagement and loyal readership.
• Exceptional writing, editing, news judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex news, generate original reporting, and work independently under tight daily deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate with colleagues across multiple time zones and collaborate with editorial, television, digital video, social, product, and audience teams.
