Location: London, United Kingdom; 50% hybrid working model, averaging two to three days onsite

What you will do

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior representatives of UK pension schemes, insurers, charities, family offices and wealth management organisations.
• Research and write original news stories on investment mandate searches, tenders, manager appointments, asset allocation and governance developments.
• Use annual reports, regulatory filings and public sources to identify market intelligence and exclusive stories.
• Maintain MandateWire’s proprietary database and generate a consistent pipeline of mandate opportunity stories for subscriber alerts.
• Produce feature articles, market analysis, video interviews, podcasts and other multimedia editorial content.
• Represent MandateWire at conferences and events by moderating panels, hosting webinars and interviewing senior industry figures.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interviewing and relationship-building skills, including confidence engaging senior institutional investment professionals.
• Strong research, analytical, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
• Strong written English and the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging copy across written and multimedia formats.
• High attention to detail and commitment to editorial and data accuracy.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, collaborate with colleagues and take initiative independently.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and standard office applications.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of institutional investment, pensions, asset management or financial markets.
• Previous journalism or business reporting experience.
• Experience producing video, podcast or other multimedia editorial content.
• Experience moderating conference panels, hosting webinars or interviewing senior executives at live events.
• Fluency in one or more European languages.
