Insights Editor (Blockchain Intelligence)

Location: Remote, United States; regular live collaboration is typically scheduled from 7 AM–11 AM Pacific Time.

What you will do

• Lead the development of intelligence products, including reports, briefs, and insights blogs, from concept and scoping through publication.
• Write and edit data-driven content for law enforcement, government, financial institutions, clients, prospects, and the public.
• Produce rapid-response content on sanctions announcements, enforcement actions, and emerging crypto-related crime.
• Verify data, references, claims, and analytical caveats in collaboration with analysts, data teams, and AI tools.
• Shape data visualizations and coordinate with design, analytics, policy, product, and marketing stakeholders.
• Manage project plans, milestones, editorial reviews, compliance checks, retrospectives, and scalable content systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, International Relations, Government, Economics, Security Studies, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience writing and editing data- or research-driven content.
• Exceptional English command with the ability to simplify complex material without sacrificing accuracy.
• Strong editing, research, fact-checking, quantitative data, qualitative source, and OSINT skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving conditions.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial crime, sanctions, fraud, cybercrime, AML/CTF, or illicit finance.

Nice to have

• Experience in investigations, national security, intelligence, law enforcement, think tanks, research institutes, or policy organizations.
• Experience adapting content for public-sector, private-sector, technical, executive, public, and client-only audiences.
• Experience working in a remote, globally distributed team across multiple time zones.
• Experience improving readership, lead conversion, or customer action through published work.
