Technician, Facility Services, Irrigation Exterior Services - Irrigator License Required (Irrigation)

Salary: $19.00–$35.00 per hour, plus potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, main and lateral lines, drip lines, and bubblers.
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles for pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation.
• Order supplies, spare parts, and equipment, and obtain contractor quotes when needed.
• Recommend and help prioritize irrigation system and equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Respond to work orders, document completed work using phones, tablets, or laptops, and maintain service records.
• Perform seasonal irrigation maintenance, including winterization and spring start-up, while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in landscaping or irrigation, including plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight shifts and weekends.
• Relevant irrigation, landscaping, equipment operation, or safety training is desirable; a formal degree is not required.

Nice to have

• Ability to interpret and apply relevant codes and regulations.
• Experience interpreting design drawings and specifications.
• Experience with water conservation practices.
• Proficiency speaking and understanding Spanish.
• Applicable state or local irrigation licensing and certifications.
