What you will do

• Provide behavioral health services within an operational military unit, with a focus on suicide prevention.
• Conduct interviews, behavioral assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments.
• Deliver individual, family, group, and couples psychotherapy, including alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
• Assess symptom severity, treatment adherence, and barriers to care; provide education and problem-solving support.
• Maintain patient registries, electronic medical records, treatment reports, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Coordinate difficult cases with medical personnel, behavioral health and psychiatry consultants, military commanders, legal authorities, and school districts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance required, or the ability to obtain one.
• Master of Social Work or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited graduate school of social work.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license for independent social work practice in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• At least two years of peer-reviewable clinical social work experience in a mental health setting, including brief behavioral interventions.
• Fluent oral and written English, current American Heart Association BCLS certification, and compliance with credentialing and clinical privilege requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a government setting, such as the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs.
