Member of Technical Staff 3 (SDET Python Automation)

Location: Hybrid, with onsite work at least 3 days per week where the workplace policy applies: San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements.

What you will do

• Develop test plans, test cases, and automated suites for product functionality and performance.
• Build and enhance functional and non-functional test automation frameworks.
• Perform manual and automated API and UI testing.
• Collaborate with developers and customer-facing stakeholders to understand designs and implementations.
• Support regression testing and maintain the stability of existing automation suites.
• Track defects through resolution and measure functionality, scalability, high availability, and usability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise software QA and test automation experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional programming or test automation experience with Python, Java, C++, or Go; Python is preferred.
• Strong foundations in Linux, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving.
• Working knowledge of compute, storage, and network virtualization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience debugging complex distributed applications and using API and UI test automation.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted tools for coding, analysis, and debugging.
• Prompt engineering experience for improved productivity.
