Software Engineer in Test II (AI)

Location: Fully remote within Mexico or hybrid with 1–2 days per week in the Reforma-area office in Mexico City. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Mexico without sponsorship, now and in the future.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain automated test coverage for web and mobile products.
• Perform manual, exploratory, functional, regression, API, integration, load, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality.
• Contribute to QA strategy, testing processes, tools, and organization-wide best practices.
• Use AI-powered tools to improve QA workflows, automation, debugging, and engineering efficiency; mentor teammates and elevate testing standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or software testing roles.
• Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, or another programming language.
• Strong understanding of API, integration, distributed systems, load, and performance testing.
• Experience designing scalable automation frameworks and test strategies for modern web applications using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Gherkin.
• Experience with AI-powered engineering tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools, plus familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Written and verbal English proficiency required. A bachelor’s degree, database experience with SQL or NoSQL, and mentoring experience are preferred.
