Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Python)

Location: On-site at the Pune office, India

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks with Python and PyTest.
• Develop functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, and reliability tests.
• Build fault-injection, failover, recovery, chaos testing, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Automate cluster deployment, upgrades, and rolling update workflows.
• Analyze system behavior during node, network, and disk failures under workload stress.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve complex issues and drive quality initiatives across the software lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software QA, test automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong Python programming skills and extensive hands-on PyTest experience.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience testing distributed systems, enterprise storage, file, block, or object storage, data replication, and erasure coding.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Shell scripting experience with Bash.
