Principal Engineer, Process Engineering (CMP)

Location: Singapore; work is based at the Fab7 wafer fabrication facility in Woodlands.

What you will do

• Sustain and develop CMP processes for high-volume wafer manufacturing.
• Reduce process variability and defectivity through recipe development, optimization, SPC monitoring, and Cpk improvement.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and improve process robustness using statistical tools, DOE, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Drive throughput improvement, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and yield learning.
• Train shift technicians to execute production processes in a 24x7 HVM environment.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers, equipment engineers, technicians, contamination-free manufacturing, process integration, cost management, and quality assurance teams.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 6 years of relevant semiconductor process engineering and manufacturing operations experience.
• Proven program management experience in complex manufacturing or operations environments.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a global, multi-site organization.
• Ability to drive structured governance, execution discipline, and executive-level communication.

Nice to have

• MS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related physical science discipline.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and process engineering.
• Project management, technical presentation, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, adjust to shifting priorities, and deliver commitments on time.
