Staff / Principal Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Operations (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Drive product, process, supplier, and operational quality across assembly, integration, testing, inspection, qualification, and field startup activities.
• Design inspection, testing, quality control, risk-based quality gates, and defect prevention methods for manufacturing and production equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, CAPA, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why, Pareto, and related quality methods.
• Analyze quality and operational data to reduce defect escapes, nonconformances, scrap, rework, cycle time, and cost of poor quality.
• Support customer quality issues, escalations, containment, installation quality, startup issues, and customer-facing technical reviews.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, dashboards, KPI reviews, and cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in quality, manufacturing, product, supplier, customer, process, test, or reliability engineering within semiconductor capital equipment or a comparable complex manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of quality engineering methods including SPC, MSA, FMEA, control plans, First Article Inspection, process validation, reliability testing, audits, and ISO 9001.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, product requirements, and manufacturing standards.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, JMP, statistical analysis, or data visualization is relevant to the role.
• Relocation is not eligible for this position.

• Customer quality, factory quality, supplier recovery, installation quality, startup issue, audit readiness, analytics dashboard, or Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers, inspectors, technicians, or manufacturing personnel.
