Senior Technical Recruiter (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Carlos, California, with 3+ days per week onsite; all work must be performed in the United States

Salary: $136K–$199K annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Own technical hiring strategy and execution for engineering roles supporting Murdock, Beacon’s in-cockpit AI assistant.
• Recruit iOS, machine learning, robotics, autonomy, embedded, and other safety-critical technical profiles.
• Partner with engineering leaders to refine role requirements, calibrate candidates, and align on hiring decisions.
• Source, screen, assess, and build an intentional pipeline of exceptional technical candidates.
• Synthesize interview feedback and make clear hiring recommendations while establishing fair and repeatable hiring processes.
• Partner with recruiting operations to improve workflows, pipelines, candidate experience, and closing efforts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally in an early-stage or fast-growing startup.
• Experience recruiting iOS, robotics, autonomy, embedded, or other safety-critical technical profiles.
• Ability to source and evaluate technical candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms.
• Track record of hiring technical talent across multiple experience levels and recruiting for product engineering roles.
• Strong relationship-building skills, judgment, stakeholder influence, and comfort pushing back when needed.
• Must be a U.S. Person and already authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and visa transfers are not available.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founding or early technical recruiting hire.
• Hands-on experience with Ashby ATS.
• Interest in aviation or mission-critical software systems.
• Previous recruiting experience in robotics, aerospace, or defense environments.
