CAE Customer Service Engineer (Virtual Manufacturing & Costing)

What you will do

• Provide technical support, sales support, and application guidance for Simufact and FTI Virtual Manufacturing & Costing products.
• Resolve customer and international sales partner issues through web portals, email, and telephone support.
• Create application examples, tutorials, training materials, and product documentation.
• Prepare and conduct mainly customer-specific training courses.
• Independently conduct service projects and document product issues thoroughly.
• Collaborate with product development, sales, support, and other departments to improve product quality and evolution.

Requirements

• Up to 5 years of experience or equivalent theoretical and practical knowledge in CAE and manufacturing technologies.
• Understanding of physical and material science fundamentals related to metal manufacturing processes, especially forming, welding, or additive manufacturing.
• Experience with manufacturing simulation and nonlinear finite element methods is preferred.
• Business-fluent written and spoken English is required.
• University degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, production engineering, forming technology, welding technology, additive manufacturing, CAE, finite element methods, or related numerical and mathematical methods.
• Availability to travel as required and work independently, including occasional off-hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of FTI or Simufact products.
• Master’s degree.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, C++, Fortran, or another programming language.
