TL;DR
CFD Engineer (AI Simulation): Building high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics models and simulation datasets for AI-driven engineering tools with an accent on geometry preparation, meshing, multiphysics modelling, and scalable workflows. Focus on adapting parametric CAD models, running simulations on cloud and HPC resources, and supporting the development of machine-learning surrogate models for engineering optimization.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week in the central office. Occasional customer travel across Europe, Asia, and Oceania is expected.

What you will do
- Build CFD models from geometry cleanup and meshing through simulation and post-processing for simple to moderately complex cases.
- Adapt parametric CAD models in NX or CATIA and contribute to automation for design optimization and Design of Experiments studies.
- Generate simulation datasets for Machine Learning and Deep Learning model training.
- Run simulations using the Flux cloud platform and on-premise HPC resources, improving meshing and setup performance.
- Support customer-facing work by preparing and presenting engineering results alongside senior colleagues.
- Share engineering knowledge, improve documentation, and contribute to onboarding within the Simulation Engineering guild.
Requirements
- Growing foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modelling.
- Working knowledge of at least one of Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to real-world problems with guidance from senior engineers.
- Comfort using built-in automation features to support scalable simulation workflows.
- Willingness to work directly with customers and travel occasionally for customer engagements.
Nice to have
- Experience with parametric CAD modelling in NX or CATIA.
- Coding experience in Python or Java.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and programming languages.
