Senior Design Engineer - Cabs

Location: Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel is up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and test components and systems for machine operator stations and cabs.
• Design rollover protective structures, other cab-related steel fabrications, and cabin non-metallic components such as ducts, trim, and headliners.
• Support New Product Introduction programs by developing products and releasing engineering drawings.
• Support product quality initiatives, design maintenance, and continuous product and process design activities.
• Conduct structural finite element analysis and support laboratory testing and certification of ROPS and other operator protective structures.
• Collaborate with design counterparts, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners across global locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar accredited engineering discipline.
• Experience with Creo or other parametric modeling software.
• Familiarity with fabrication and/or non-metallic manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Peoria, Illinois office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience designing operator stations, non-metallic components, or ROPS.
• Surface 3D modeling experience for non-metallics, stampings, or similar products.
• ROPS or other nonlinear FEA experience, plus structural and dynamic linear FEA experience.
• Testing and development engineering experience.
