Technical Project/Program Management Director

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Relocation eligible; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $172,000–$237,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical program management for strategic semiconductor customer engagements, including Technology Review Meetings, yield improvement task forces, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Own program scoping, planning, risk management, execution, milestones, and plan-of-record delivery across large multi-workstream programs.
• Prepare and present executive-level materials for customer VPs, CTOs, EVPs, and internal senior leadership.
• Coordinate engineering, business development, CTO, Logic, Memory, MDP, Etch, integrated development, and cross-functional teams.
• Drive execution across US headquarters and international sites in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
• Shape new module engagement opportunities and translate customer requirements into actionable development and demonstration plans.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related semiconductor discipline; PhD preferred.
• At least 12 years of semiconductor industry experience, including 5 or more years in technical program management, business management, or engineering leadership.
• Strong knowledge of DRAM, logic and foundry nodes, BEOL integration, FEOL device engineering, etch, deposition, and module integration.
• Experience managing programs directly with major semiconductor manufacturers at VP, Director, or higher levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, trade-offs, critical paths, and executive reporting across multiple workstreams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical, executive, and customer-facing materials.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or materials companies.
• Familiarity with Product Development Process frameworks, phase-gate methodologies, and program management tools such as Accolade or PDBoK.
• Bilingual English/Korean, English/Mandarin, or English/Japanese communication skills.
• Experience leading customer programs focused on cost reduction, yield improvement, technology roadmap alignment, or multiple technology nodes.
