Technical Project/Program Management Director (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel required up to 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $172,000–$237,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical program management for strategic semiconductor customer engagements, including technology reviews, yield improvement task forces, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Own program scoping, planning, risk management, execution, milestones, and plan-of-record alignment.
• Prepare and present executive-level materials for customer and internal senior leadership meetings.
• Coordinate engineering, business development, CTO, Logic, Memory, and other business-unit teams across the United States, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
• Drive risk assessment, trade-off analysis, critical-path reviews, decision-making, escalation, and program reporting.
• Partner with business development and strategy teams to shape module engagements and translate customer requirements into program plans.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related semiconductor discipline; PhD preferred.
• At least 12 years of semiconductor industry experience, including 5 or more years in technical program management, business management, or engineering leadership.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor process technologies, including DRAM, logic and foundry nodes, BEOL, FEOL, etch, deposition, and module integration.
• Experience managing programs directly with major semiconductor manufacturers at VP, director, or higher levels.
• Experience managing large multi-workstream programs with disciplined schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive summaries and customer-ready presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or materials companies.
• Familiarity with Product Development Process frameworks, phase-gate methodologies, and program management tools.
• Bilingual English and Korean, Mandarin, or Japanese.
• Experience leading cost reduction, yield improvement, technology roadmap alignment, or multi-node programs.
