Principal Technical Program Manager (Marketplace Tech)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite role at 1375 Crossman Ave. The position is also associated with Bellevue, Washington for compensation purposes.

Annual salary: $143,000–$286,000 in Sunnyvale; $132,000–$264,000 in Bellevue. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and deliverables for complex technical programs.
• Secure commitments for scope, timelines, resources, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Align program teams on strategy and end-to-end technology solutions in ambiguous situations.
• Lead high-level system design discussions focused on scalability, availability, and performance.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage issues throughout program delivery.
• Improve workflows, prioritization frameworks, stakeholder communication, and operational excellence practices.

Requirements

• Six years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related area, or eight years of relevant experience without the degree requirement.
• Extensive program and project management experience across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with risk management, stakeholder management, resource constraints, and delivery planning.
• Technical expertise in system design, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and software lifecycle management.
• Strong communication, reporting, consensus-building, analytical, and data-driven problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Project management certification.
• Master of Business Administration with a relevant specialization.
• Experience in product design and digital accessibility, including WCAG 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
