Company
Builds the Overture supersonic airliner, Symphony aircraft engine, and Superpower industrial gas turbine for AI data centers.
What you will do
- Own structural analysis of rotating and static engine hardware, including disks, blisks, blades, shafts, cases, frames, mounts, and joints.
- Predict component life across disk burst, low-cycle fatigue, high-cycle fatigue, creep, and thermal-mechanical fatigue.
- Build structural and thermal whole-engine models and develop the underlying material models.
- Work with aerodynamics and aeromechanics specialists to set frequency margins and resolve high-cycle fatigue risks.
- Plan and support engine and rig testing, including instrumentation, test-cell activity, and post-test correlation.
- Evaluate non-conformances, support redesign of built hardware, automate analysis workflows, and improve engineering standards.
Requirements
- Hands-on structural analysis experience with turbomachinery, rotating hardware, or airframe stress analysis combined with interest in rotating hardware.
- Strong fundamentals in load paths, defensible boundary conditions, and engineering judgment when interpreting analysis results.
- Life prediction experience in at least one of LCF, HCF, or creep.
- Depth in one structural analysis specialty and curiosity about adjacent disciplines.
- Ability to make and clearly communicate engineering decisions with incomplete information.
- Must meet U.S. ITAR/EAR eligibility requirements.
Nice to have
- Fracture mechanics and damage tolerance experience, including inspection interval definition or defense.
- Rotordynamics experience with critical speeds, bearing stiffness, and unbalance response.
- Engine or rig test experience with instrumentation planning, vibration resolution, strain gauges, blade tip timing, or post-test correlation.
- Whole-engine modeling experience, Part 33 or equivalent certification exposure, and reusable engineering tools.
Culture & Benefits
- Design, manufacturing, and testing are performed under one roof.
- Work includes direct ownership of whole components and participation in engine test-cell activities.
- Collaboration spans aerodynamics, thermal, mechanical design, and test engineering.
- The role offers competitive compensation, meaningful equity grants, flexible PTO, and progressive benefits.
- The work environment is fast-paced, demanding, and focused on high engineering standards.
Hiring process
