Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Location: Guadalajara; candidates are asked whether they are based in Guadalajara or Mexico City. The current work model is fully remote, with a planned transition to hybrid.

hirify.global is a Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot and cross-border remittance ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect, build, optimize, and scale backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Develop secure systems for fund collection, transaction processing, beneficiary disbursements, user onboarding, KYC, and compliance.
• Design infrastructure for millions of daily requests with strong security, performance, and scalability.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and infrastructure tools into distributed financial systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business functions to deliver financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and improve platform capabilities through feedback and system analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English required.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, web services, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes; experience with payment, disbursement, or compliance platforms is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Additional fintech experience or equivalent competencies.
• Experience with React, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, or AJAX.
