Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Location: Mexico City; applicants are asked whether they are based in Guadalajara or CDMX. The role is currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is a hyper-growth Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance platform for Latin immigrants in the U.S., using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins for cross-border payments.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Build secure systems for fund collection, transaction processing, beneficiary disbursements, user onboarding, KYC, and compliance.
• Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with strong security and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and industry-standard infrastructure tools into distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units to deliver financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, promote engineering best practices, and improve platform capabilities using feedback and analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English required.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, plus experience designing web services and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursements, compliance platforms, security protocols, and KYC/AML processes is highly desirable.

• Curiosity or experience in fintech and equivalent competencies in related technical areas.
