Principal Quantity Surveyor (Nuclear)

Location: Cheshire, with regular office attendance required within daily commuting distance

What you will do

• Lead and manage the commercial project team, supporting the Commercial Manager and maintaining required performance standards.
• Ensure contract compliance and provide commercial advice, reporting, and recommendations on remedies for poor performance.
• Lead complex procurement activities ranging from low-value purchases to multi-million-pound contracts.
• Develop procurement strategies, perform cost and price analysis, negotiate contracts, and manage commercial risk.
• Procure and manage framework and bespoke contracts through placement, contract management, and closeout.
• Support continuous improvement, team development, and delivery of internal and external commercial targets.

Requirements

• Experience in the nuclear industry or another regulated industry is preferred.
• Strong NEC contract experience.
• Broad and detailed knowledge of category management, procurement processes, and commercial issues.
• Ability to manage internal and external commercial targets and maintain high standards of work quality, timeliness, and consistency.
• Strong character, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Applicants must already have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.
