Commercial Assistant

What you will do

• Support the commercial team across the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects.
• Assist with contract management under JCT and NEC 3/4 contracts, including Options A and C.
• Support subcontractor negotiations, payment processes, and performance tracking.
• Measure completed works and support accurate billing processes.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports.
• Maintain accurate and robust commercial documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates or similar bespoke schedule of rates.
• Familiarity with the construction industry and basic understanding of standard methods of measurement.
• Five GCSEs or equivalent at grades 9–4, including Mathematics and English; Science is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines and communicate effectively in a collaborative team.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Level 4 qualification in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Previous construction industry experience.
